1)refer to your error message, it seems your PC don't recognize your imx8mm board, pls check if your PC recognize your board or not2) for how to uuu tools, pls refer to the user guide, you should use the command like "./uuu uuu.auto", uuu.auto is the script, don't add demo image after ./uuu

Joan Xie, Thanks the USB package had broken, I reinstalled the package and updated. The issue got resolved I have compilied and built the BSP and i following files got generated flash.bin, .dtb, rootfs and image,How do we flash the above new built image using UUU tool.

pls refer to the user guide, which depends on what media you use, if you want to test, you can use uuu.auto, which download .sdcard file to the board. more detailed information, pls refer to the enclosed file

Hello,I'm trying to program a custom I.MX8 board, but the uuu tool keeps on failing with various libusb errors.Previously i've programmed 2 IMX8M nano EVK boards without problems, but this was a couple of months back and i'm not sure what i (apparently) did differently. I've gone back to the imx8m nano evk's to check my steps, but they won't program as well.For now, i'm working with the L4.14.98_2.2.0_images_MX8MNEVK package as this worked previously. I saw that there are new versions nowadays.So far, the problem seems to be in the USB device recognition. The UUU manual mentions the use of Zadig to correct any driver install issues. They also mention that the board should be listed as "USB download device" and not "SE blank xxx". In my case both EVK's and my custom board are all recognized as "SE blank 815" devices. The WCID field has a red X as well.They mention a patch, but i can't find any details about it.Where is this going wrong?thanks in advance,best regards,Tim Kers

I tried uuu v1.4.139 and v1.4.165 on Windows 7 pro or Windows 10 pro. None of then can successfully download i.mx8 evk demo image.The USB device "USB download gadget" is already attached and driver found.It just shows Fail HID(W):LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT On Windows 7, install the winusb driver or using Zadig-2.7 to install usb driver are not able to solve this issue. But download android 9 evk image by uuu v1.2 doesn't have this issue.

Hello Timk,

---SE blank xxx: is correct. which also means board is driven as HID Compliance Device.

Below some suggestions are for your reference:

1. windows 10 is recommended for uuu tools

I have tested several versions of uuu tool on windows 10 platform, and haven't encountered the problem,LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT

2. About windows 7 pro.

Yes, I also encountered the same error as yours. so resolve it by 3 ways:

(1) using Zadig to install dirver

During the image programming process, the board will be driven as a different device in windows. When an error occurs, it means that there is a problem with the device driver at this time. You can use Zadig to reinstall the device driver.

(2) Using 1.2.x version of uuu tool

for example, 1.2.68, 1.2.66

(3) using uuu tool for linux

Using uuu tool on ubuntu can sovle the problem.

Ok, i've gotten a bit further nowif i use powershell and simply run [.\uuu.exe .\uuu.auto] the imx8mn-evk programming works. After the programming, the device is recognized as USB download device. So the initial "SE blank xxx" doesn't seem to be the problem.However, the same step to my custom board runs into a: Fail HID(W): LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT (1.001s)edit:If i perform a JTAG reset before launching uuu, it starts the progress but fails at 8% with the same LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT (1.267s).This is during the SDPS: boot -f imx-boot-imx8mnevk-sd.bin-flash-ddr4-evk stepI have no idea in which direction i should look

I have the same problem.Trying to look on the USB comminication with WireShark i got this. The IMX has cancel the BULK Transfert which is suppose to be several 1k packets because the size configured by the IMX is 1021 bytes. No. Time Source Destination Protocol Length Info

Try to match the versions given in the Android Quick Start guide with regards to Android and UUU version. For Android 12 I can read for example:For this release, these two scripts are validated on UUU 1.4.182 version. Download corresponding version from GitHub:• For Linux OS, download the file named uuu.• For Windows OS, download the file named uuu.exe.I had an Android image download problem recently as well when I used the latest version of UUU.Regards,Bernhard.

My new MX535 board is based on Quick Start RevB and use a new PMIC MC34709. I checked all voltages are ok, the 24MHz works too, but I set the boot mode to serial download, my PC always get the unknow device. I found when I send a reset a this time, the unknow USB device changes to "SE BLANK RITA" device, and no driver. Does anybody know what's wrong with it? What is SE BLANK RITA device? It looks like the MX535 works a little, but the USB device should be "Bulk IO Device".Regards,Yanjun Luo.

I got answer from FAE today, RITA means i.MX53, it works, but need a driver. After install the right driver, the "Freescale i.MX53 USB BulkIO Device" is ready, and I can download software.

I got answer from FAE today, RITA means i.MX53, it works, but need a driver. After install the right driver, the "Freescale i.MX53 USB BulkIO Device" is ready, and I can download software.

You just need install the Mfgtools driver. My problem is when I install the driver, I choosed a wrong folder.Regards,Yanjun Luo.
